Free Mods
Sorry If it's posted and I missed it. I did look around some for it though.
This is my DD, so I dont want to throw a lot of money at it, but I want some gains... What are the best "free mods" to do, that actually do something? I'm gonna buy a lid and smooth bellow (used) and gut the cats (free) for the moment

to be honest with you why don't you instead of getting all the little things first just by yourself a LS6 or name brand intake manifold for 300 bucks and then a set of headers and call it a day untell you're ready to really spend some money

free mods are worth in in the long run. Just b.c one person didnt like the little gain they got doesnt mean they didnt get a gain. remove your AIR and EGR too, less mechanical things to have to worry about and if your removing your cats then just get a EGR block off plate from a sponsor for like $10. best bang for the buck is headers. Pacesetter has coated headers for a heck of a price and can be found on sale right now on speedinc who is alos a sponsor. PM me if you have questions.

Its really not had, there are 8 bolts on top, a tube or two on the back, a sensor you must unplug (map sensor) and some stuff on the front, when you are pulling it all, to get a general idea where everything is, look at the other intake manifold... changing the intake manifold from the ls1 to the FAST w/ 90 mm tb took like 2 hours. Just dive right in, if you have a shop do it, its about 500 bucks.
