01 Headers on 00 Ls1 .

01 Headers on 00 Ls1 . Hey just a question about fitting 01 Headers onto an 00 LS1. What is the difference and what parts do i need to put them on my car? Got a great deal on Long tubes with Custom "y" pipe now need to know what to expect,It's do-able right? Thanks in advance.

Re: 01 Headers on 00 Ls1 . I have a 2000 SS so I think I can help. The 1998-2000 have the egr hose that runs from the exhaust to the intake manafold. 2001-2002 don't have the egr coming off the eshaust. they also don't have the egr going into the top of the intake manafold. They have the Z06 style intake with no egr. If you run an LS6 intake you can use the headers from 2001-2002.

Re: 01 Headers on 00 Ls1 . The AIR tubes are different on the 2000's also. If you are still going to use the AIR tubes then you will need to "twist" yours to fit or get ahold of some that will fit that years design.
