Just got my 1st LS1 car...and I love it!
I just recently became a member and I heard this was the place to start. MY name is Shawn and I'm from central Indiana. I just bought a 1999 WS6 Trans Am 30th Anniversary car #357 of 1600. The car was driven everyday and not taken care of. Never washed, never cleaned out, never waxed or polished, never swept...the list goes on and on. For such a rare car...I would have thought it would have been taken car of. I removed all of the interior, steamed the carpets, cleaned all the leather, & replaced alot of the plastics. I have a a windshield on order (along with the Pontiac decal) because it has a chip in it. I clay barred the entire car and buffed it as well. It looks like a totally different car now.
Anyhow, I'm new to the LS1 engine. MY plans are to keep the car mostly stock...but I want to add some bolt ons to the engine. If anyone knows some good modifications to start with, please let me know. I've also got a 1991 Z28 Camaro (Tuned Port) which I know alot about...but when it comes to LS1's...I'm totally new. Thanks Alot

Welcome. The Z28 looks great. A lid will be a nice start. After a lot of reading, seems like the SLP lid has the best fit, and is good for about as much power as any other (I did a lot of reading before I bought mine). After that, you'll probably want longtubes.

Both cars look GREAT!
to me the 99 30th edition is the best looking T/A.
read the genIII external section the bolt ons are there and read the stickies in the sections that you`re intrested in.
