It Has To Be Tapped For The Alternator To Be Used On Bottom Right Side....all The Trucks Have A Top Mount Alternator......

Correct! The only difference from a 6.0L (LQ4 or LQ9 (same block)) vs an LS1 is:

Iron vs Aluminum
4.00" Bore vs 3.898" Bore
untapped alt boss vs tapped alt boss

I have the LS2 6.0L aluminum block its a 4.00" bore also. I got mine at the dealer for $950.00 and every thing off my LS1 ,except the (valley cover) and (timing chain cover) will interchange. The knock sensors will need to be moved to the side of the block near the motor mounts, and you will need the cam sensor wire excitation were the cam sensor is moved to the timing chain cover ,and you will need the LS2 timing chain gear to read the sensor. Thats it.
