Default Belt problems...

So..the other day my belt tore. The main belt.. (Not sure what to call it).

So i got a new one. About 1 week later it came off. (At 150 mph).

So, i put it back home and limped home. Looking at the pulleys with the engine running it kinda looks like the main pully (Harmonic balancer?) has a bit of movement or mis-alignment. Is this likely the culprit?

If so, i guess i may as well get an underdrive pulley right?

Thanks again for all the help (and sad i have never ending problems to ask about).

the ls1 motor will throw belts at higher rpm's/speed.

You can use a tensoner- katec makes one, or search for the 3.8L supercharger tensoner that is a lot cheaper to put on.

150 mph? Damn that's fast.

My solution to that would be to keep it under 150. I wouldn't feel very comfortable maintaining that speed for any length of time. If something goes wrong like a tire blowout it won't be pretty.
