Street Racing & Kill Stories - Me vs neon and a GT

first the ???? neon, it was boring night. Met up with him at the light he revs, I return the rev and we are off. I here the turbo spooling but by 20mph he was at my rear. At 60 I had two lenght and at 80 I had 4 and shut her down. Met up with him at the next light, he gaves me the thumbs up and I returned the favor and went on our way.

But earlier that day I ran into a father & son (i think) in a 07 GT that sounded mean. We went from a 30 roll and stayed side by side till 100 and by 130 he was at my taillights. He told meit ran 12.5 with Mickey Thompsons, I told him all I had was cutout and air lid (which is true) and he did no believe me. Then we met up at the light and went from a dig, we both spun and he hooked first but by 100 I had a car lenght on him. We talked more and he finally believed me about my mods after I offered to pop the hood and his dad had a big smile on his face and said he loved my car. We gave eachother the thumbs up and went our ways.

have a race tomorrow with a guy at work, he has a new G35 with the dealer tags still on. The bet is 300, but I would do it just to take that damn smug smile off his face, and to make sure he dosen't talk sh!t about detroit steel anymore.

Because back when there were alot of Neon trolls, they changed it to stuff like "Neon neon neon," and then just made it ???? to piss the Neon guys off. Atleast that's what I've heard.

Ohh on the dig race we hooked up and for some reason it wouldn't hit 4th gear... I'm sure you heard it lol, bouncing off the limiter. Then you caught up and we let out, thats what I was talking about when I mentioned fuel. You need to cruise down to the track with use sometime.

Hey man whats up, good to see you on here, the sound of that GT is still in my head. We def have to do it again, its definetly one of my better races. I am tired of adding lenghts to imports with only exterior mods, you know how it is on OBT. But I doubt the removing the extra person will help much seeing as you guys didnt look go big and I clock it at around 310lbs. Didnt know about 4th (sorry music to loud) but I did see the quick fall back. But now do you believe me on the mods haha

considering my baby spent 9 days in the body shop for a a crashed front end, I better get some good days.

I believe you man! like I said Id love to try it again from a better area with more boost. Automatic gearing is bad in the thirty zone for some reason? So Id like to try 20 I think it would be better lol. And the dig race got ugly when she tried to shift into 4th. :confused: Anyways we need to have a track night soon. Waiting for new breaks... would u be game?

probably, and I am with you on the brake problems I am sqeakin at stoplights haha. Yeah I will go lower than 30, higher in my automatic is actually worse for me. Still that dig race made all the cars behind us scared to move. Any more pics of the stang, especially under the hood.

haha yeah I just washed her and she had a nice coat of Meguiers Gold on her. And maybe we did get to 140 at those speeds I try just to stare at the road. Most I got her up to is 142 and I might have broken that personel record. I love that straight away, we were lucky there was no cops, its a good thing we had traffic on our way to the light so I could check the blind spots for cops. And I am even more glad you understood my u-turn sign language.

Lol that was all my dad. I only race at the track with that car. and the cop thing amen! I try to keep it to the track. We were going to fast, faster then we should of been for sure. Like I said we should hit the track sometime. Were usually there every wed and fri. But were waiting on new breaks and some lower temps.

What does your stang dyno, I been looking for a good dyno place for my car, so if you have any please tell me there location. Any guesses of what I am making to the wheels. On a side not, I really need to find time to get to the track, I work at nights supervising a banquet department so its tough

The cars much quicker out of the hole on stickys. Wish it wasn't so hot so we could get some 12.3s or 12.2s. usually traps 111mph. I'm ganna keep in touch with you so next time I head out to the track I'm ganna give u the heads up. Get some good footage. I can't believe I left my camera at home yesterdat 8(

So you killed an 07 GT that has run 12.5 w/ tires could go lower and dyno's 400+ to the crank w/ minor b0lt-on's or....did I miss somthing?

No u didn't Best run is 12.4 flat. It was 103 degress out. It traps 111 so in colder weather it could do better. I think she can do 12.2 in better weather, but we started getting into drag racing in the summer time so no luck there. But low 12's is for the track... on the street anything could happen. Maybe ice man and the gt could do a 20 roll... it would be interesting... and a dig race saved for the track.

The gt is blown, it went 13.1 with bolt ons at 105 mph. Now it has a novi 2200. Not a crazy blower but she moves for being as heavy as she is.

Oh ok. I see now. I was confused. Wow, yeah I am definately surprised he came out ahead of you. 30-130/140 is a pretty long haul.

Well I'd like to try a 20 roll, its a centrifugal blower, so at 30 it took some time for the boost to build. But racing that long scared me enough to not want to go that fast for a while. But I give all the credit to iceman he deserves. Not many good runs, or cool people out there. Especially in my neck of the woods.

I still say 1 and 1 lol. We had that dig race until the damn thing wouldn't shift!!!
