Default APS F-body kit is here (56k take a hike)

Two large boxes showed up today.

One of the boxes was damaged, no big deal. Things are packaged very well inside.

Opened the smaller of the two boxes first (the ripped box). After pulling the big styrofoam packing off the top, this is what's inside:

One of the manifolds, which Peter did a great job getting us block off plates already installed.

Some down pipe pics. APS has already gone through everything with a grinder and cleaned up the backside of all the welds. It's great I don't have to do that myself.

2 Tial Wastegates:

Here's a turbo, I didn't feel like completly unpacking it just yet, the garage is already a mess with out bubble wrap everywhere.

On to the big box:

Pulled the packaging off the top and here's the rest of the kit:

Lots of charge piping in this box, I didn't unwrap all of it just yet, but here's an peice:

Air filter

Opening up the smaller boxes.

The one disappointment when opening the kit. BOV's seem a little chincy, but who knows, they might perform great. Only time will tell.

Bad *** looking overflow tank and windshield washer reservoir.

Overall everything looks just as good as it does in the pictures on APS's web sight. I'm very impressed with the time they took packaging everything, and the build of all the parts looks fantastic.

They use thos BOVs on all kinds of stuff, you can always upgrade down the road but they should be fine. Thanks for the pics, nice looking parts and good luck with it.

Good to hear. I've never seen them before, but with my knowledge of BOV's that's not saying much.

I never signed anything, but I don't know if he would have left it if I wasn't home. He probably would have called me, I know the UPS man pretty well at this point .

that BOV is a POS, might as well change it before you install it.

That's too many TLA's in one sentence.
I'm hoping they will work for a while. But I can tell they're not the best quality by the fact they only weigh about 2 ounces. I'll upgrade later on if I need to, but another $300-$400 in parts is not something I want to do right now.

the BOV's work just fine for the kit as-is. Not everyone plans to make 1000 rwhp like Tiago

Those look like OEM recirc. valves, used on Audis and such. Those seem to work fine up to ~18psi.

Ya I just seen this post, I got one of my boxes today the one with the turbos. I opened it the same way u did but then I fliped it over and the packing held everything in place. I figure the other box should get here tomarrow. Oh well I paid for it on friday got a confermation email about the payment and didnt recieve anything else, I was going to send peter a email asking for a tracking # when UPS showed up in front of my house, lol.

The ups guy doesnt have my cellphone # but he does know by name and if I see him goin down the road he waves. Hes asked about both the car and the jeep on whats done and he checks in just to see how things are going.

Looks good, I wont install mine until this winter, putting a new fuel pump in for woodward this week right now.

posting several threads is just fine, this also keeps questions from getting buried within a thread and unanswered. That is what this forum is for

FYI there are a few C5 guys that changed their BOVs, they have the same plastic ones.
Search over on the CorvetteForum and you'll find whoever sells them easily.

Man those look great, one hell of a deal thats for sure. If I already wasn't turbocharged, I wouldn't miss out on getting one of these kits for sure. You can't beat the price for all that is included with em and how great everything looks cosmetically. Great job APS once again
