Painting and cleaning intake?

Default Painting and cleaning intake?

I just got a used ls6 intake and was wondering how some of yall went about cleaning it...what did yall use? Also i want to paint it so for those have painted thier own....did u sand it a bit? did u use a primer then paint..what was ur process? Thanks for the responses.

you can use about any cleaner.. Simple Green, etc.

to paint it.. there are a few threads on it, seach for them.

Depending on if you want a really smooth finish, Sanding it would help

You should usea Flexible Primer that is good for the plastic (SEM make some), a base coat and clear or a single step paint is good too.

sanding helps i used base coat then cleared it
