shifter boot ring

Question shifter boot ring

Plastic ring around bottom of shifter boot has come apart..what adhesive to repair it.?? gm wants 90$ for new...and can't find a good used one..boot is good, plastic ring is the problem....any idea...[not gorilla glue for sure]..

Send a PM to Farmer2 on this site...he used to make them out of metal. Thats where I bought mine but I don't know if he still does it.

yall may think this is ghetto as hell but..Mine broke a few years back and i just made one out of a wire hanger. I just bent that hoe to fit right and bam!, its been on there since and works great.

Yeah, thats basically what Farmer does, but he uses a nice stainless wire and made a jig to save you time. I'm happy with the piece I bought from him.

Cable ties and and old hanger fixed mine no one will ever see it.
