Default SPEC 3+ after 18 month of street driving

sorry no pics yet since i have not pulled it. But i wanted to tell people how it is now, and what it was like before.. and also get some opinions

1st installed (used a brand new GM stock LS1 flywheel, installed the slave shim, everything torqued to specs)

started out chattery as all hell.. subsided after 1000 miles of driving.. clutch would engage about half way pedal travel.. felt great.. had to have 2000rpms to take off and ride the clutch a little so it wouldnt shake..

now.. 18months and 5000 miles later..

clutch engages almost near the very top of letting out the clutch.. not rattles at all.. can take off at 1200rpms..

still grips, doesnt slip, feels strong.. but the thing that makes me wonder.. is that i have almost completely let out the clutch for it to engage..

my question is.. would removing the slave shim help this clutch to engage sooner?

is my clutch on it way to being crap?

I have only 372rwhp..(as of MAY 27th this year) other than that is been stock.. i have NO track times, NO clutch dumps of any kind.. only street driving and highway miles..

any thoughts?

The disk is probably just worn out, do not take out the shim. If anything try an adjustable master first.

It just adjusts the pedal travel and engagement point. I had mine set to enegage right off the floor then i also had it adjusted to engage mid travel. It adjusts by turning the threaded rod that connects to the pedal itself.

makes sense... so its basically applying more fluid pressure to the slave to acheive this...cool..

any sponsors selling this at this time?
