Default Oil pressure little low?

Well just finished my install on my cam from vegeance 226/228 114+4 lsa and sounds real good except for the fact my car has a little trouble at idle. I know i need a tune and im going to vegeance this week to get one but i noticed sometimes the oil pressure will get to 30 at idle mostly after 15 or so min of driving and soon as i hit the gas it goes back up to 39 or 40. Could my guage or sending unit be off? I have a service engine soon light on but i figured that is normal with a cam and springs swap that it would throw a code or 2. when driving the pressure is fine and no issues and but when i come to a stop light i have to make sure i dont push the clutch in to far up in the rpms at a stop light or it will want to try to stall. I have a stock pump that i didnt remove during the install also i have only 30miles on it since the install and car has a tune from the last time i went to the dyno. Im probally looking to much into to it and need to put more miles on it for the computer will adjust for the cam.

30# isn't bad at idle. Get Vengence to hook up a mechanical unit to it and see how they compare. There is a place to tap above the oil filter and they probally already have one tapped out just for problems like this.

Ya im thinking its no big deal becouse its mostly 40 but it sometimes gets to 30 or so on idle especially after 15 min or so and as soon as you hit the gas it goes straight up and when driving threw gears it seems normal. But the cam is very nice it sounds great and the install went very good so im guessing i just need a tune and since my old tune was for spray so it probally isnt cam friendly . I have my service engine showing on my car but its probally a sensor going crazy becouse of the cam and springs install.

all you need is about 6 to7 psi per 1000 rpm. so unless your idling over 5000 rpm I think you will be ok. mine surges back and forth every once in a while also.

i have the same thing, but i belive it's weather related....due to the fact that it's 100 degs. out side....it only does it when the motor is warm and hotter than **** out side, or when i get off the high way....it'll be at 30 psi or so.
