Default Do I need a longer driveshaft?

I installed a 6.0L in my 82 Silverado with a th350, but the motor sits about 1" too far forward. So I moved my trans and mount to meet it. Now the driveshaft is out 1" further than before. Will this hurt anything? Or do I need a longer driveshaft?

It would be a good idea to get with a drive shaft company. To short of a drive shaft can be very dangerous.
