Default Replacing top dash section

I have a new piece for the top part of my dash (the part with the defogger vent) that always cracks. Does anybody know how to get this piece installed? Do I have to pull of the entire dash or is there a better way? Thanks.

It's super easy. I just did mine this past Sunday in about 10 minutes. Just pull up the old one and pull off the side pillar pieces and put the new one down and put the side pieces back on. There are 4-5 clips that the dash clips into and a few places towards the windshield where it just velcro's down. You may have to dig out some of the old plastic from the clips but other than that it's really simple!

Lol, yup, I sliced the end of my finger. Not big at all but it hurt! Looks 10x better without that crack now.

I remember that a while back I decided to fix the one on the LT1, it had a crack almost at the middle, made it look like a two piece dash. I removed the pillar trim, and I was working my way to get the complete piece with the crack off.... everything seemed to be going well..... I was almost done...... and then................ everything broke!!!!! Just like that, the whole piece was roasted and it broke in many pieces!!!!! I ended up with a puzzle as a dash!! hehehehe

I just replaced mine today. The old one came off in about 8 pieces, but the new one just slid right in.

I got mine used, my old one only came out in 2 pieces, but the new one was a snap.
