Default Crankshaft sensor relearn knock tune out?

I had a tune done by Futral Motorsports several years ago, and a few months ago I had to replace my crankshaft position sensor. I took my car by a local guy with a Snap-On scanner to do the crankshaft position sensor relearn and since then I have been getting SES lights for things that were tuned out. Things suck as A.I.R. and rear O2 codes.

Did the relearn knock the tune out? Or should I be looking for another problem?

Crank relearn will not erase/replace the calibration by itself. But, maybe the shop also did an factory calibration search & update, which would have restored your tune to stock.

Not exactly sure what he did, but all I wanted was the crankshaft relearn I was thinking maybe the snap-on scanner/tester did it no matter what.

Well, if you had AIR codes deleted, for example, and now they are showing up again, it does sound like your tune was overwritten.

We tell our customers to tell shops NOT to do so-called calibration updates because of this...

Sorry this happened to you
