another "can i" thread,
i have bin building my motor through the summer, my plans where to build a fully usable 11sec car,
estamated rwhp are around 420-440ish,
but for the fun of it, i would like to think how fast you guy's thin i can go? do you think 11sec will be no problem? or even lower? or do you see somthing seriusly wrong with my set up,
my modds are,
heads/valvetrain
Patriot ls6's stageII heads, 59cc<--
ferra valves, 2.02/1.6
titanium retainers,
bronze plates
patriot gold double springs
ls6 multy layer headgaskets
ls7 lifters
comp camp 7.400 chromoly pushrods
226/226 585 112LSAcam
durabond cam bearings
Katech head studs
injection
FAST 90mm intake
NW 90mm TB
FAST fuel rails
FAST fuel lines
36lb's injectors
85mm MAF (c6 corvette)
knock sensor upgrade.. 02 sensor/wiring
EGR delete
air pump delete
Pacesetter LT's
pacesetter non catted Y pipe
SLP loudmouth1 catback
LS7 clutch kit
LS2 flywheel
modded stock lid,
please tell me what time you would guess.. given that i allready have the driver modd, and slics.. and good tune

id say other than the cam being on the small side it'll definately go 11's. you may need some tire depending on how well the streets hook. im probably right around the same power level with just the cam (because of the LS2 of course) and i plan on running at least 11.80's in a heavier car (though i'll have some weight reduction) so i wouldnt worry too much, you should be there!

yeah i know about the cam, when i started building it i wanted "big heads mild cam good injecton"
to get a car that would be awesome on the streets, pull hard through the power band with good top end,
but after i finished it and had bougth everything.. i started thinkin.. damn i wish i had gone with bigger cam
but the 226/226 is not small cam though, i went low 13's stock so i hope at least 1.5sec is not to far away,
i will also spray 100 in to it, but i want to go 11.s N/A ,
maybe i will install bigger cam during the winter if i'm not satified
more opinions thankfully acepted

I see one,you don´t have any suspension modifications
With 420-440rwhp you should be in the 11s on full weight car with 4:10 and Slicks
With a 4:10,slicks and Suspension work they can go low 12´s on stock power
And if you decide to change to a "bigger" cam please make it a custom grind with your combo to get the most out of it with the "smallest" cam
