Cammed Finally! Well yesterday i got my car back from having the cam and underdrive pulley installed, Its a 231/234 .613 .598 112+1. the car is an 06 M6 and has Long tubes,catback, 3.91 gears, an Intake, and a shortshifter (some other small things aswell). I must say i was expecting the car to not drive as well (trying to stall out, bucking at low RPM's, etc etc) but i was totally wrong. I realise its a mild cam but this thing drives like its bone stock (with the exception of cruising below 1400rpm) it hot starts and cold starts fine and takes off very smooth and clean from a stop. the power is definately there as well, good thing i have an LS7 clutch ready to go in. i'll probably have some track times before i have a dyno number, but i'll post up some vids tomorrow probably, im hoping for 11.8's at least (my old PB before the cam was 12.3) and i figure shes putting around 420 to the wheels, of course i wont know until i get to a dyno/track

the car has a tune on it, my installer has HP tuners and a wideband so we know the Air fuel is right around 12.5, and timing is right around 29*its basically a wideband street tune . the dyno tune will basically just be for fine tuning and to find out where it makes power until so i can set my rev limiter.

gear i seen u have the 3.91 gears in it, how did yout mileage suffer from the 3.91? i also have a m6 and since the long tube install i would like a lil more low end torque, sorry to highjack thread

Congratulations on getting the cam - big difference in power, huh? 
Let us know what your dyno #'s end up being, I'll be interested in seeing it, esp. since you have 3.91's.

average MPG went to around 16. highway i used to get 23 on average...since i put the cam in im getting 26mpg highway and an average of 17mpg overall. its been hard to keep my foot outa the gas though! the cam really makes the car come alive, though its hard to notice the extra power because the car is so heavy and smooth...the only way i know its faster is the passengers heads go flying back into the seat when i nail it...lol
as for the gears i highly reccomend them, for a stock motor they were the biggest SOTP increase and really make the car easier (and more fun) to drive. my 60' dropped a full 10th of a second as well...my favorite part was being able to drive in 6th gear at 40mph (now with the cam its a little harder to drive that low in the RPM's becasue it surges)
