Default Air filter attached to MAF??

What do you guys think about this? I have an LS1 swapped into a 1963 nova. The best/cleanest/easiest way to run my intake tubing is to attach my air filter directly to my MAF.

Pros? Cons? ok? Bad? what are your thoughts?

I don't really see a down side. If that's the best way for your setup that's how I'd do it.

I know a guy who dropped an LS1 into a 69 Chevelle and that was exactly what he did.

Looks pretty good as well.

Thank you for your help guys. It is one of those things where its going to be very easy to do it this way, or tons more work to add another bend. I will leave it like this and see what happens. I really appreciate it. Sometimes you just need someone to rethink your plan. Thanks again,
