Default Are there any ways to fix road rash on a rim?

Some jerk ran me into a curb.....scratched up my chrome rim pretty good. Is it possible to grind out the rash, and have the rim re-chromed?
Anybody do this before, ans d where did you send it for chroming and how do it turn out?

I fixed my road-rashed ZR1, you need to get up close and inspect real close to see the repair. Then again my rims are polished not chrome.

Contact a place called Wheels America. They have a couple locations here in TX and I think in a few other places. They have a flat fee to fix any wheel, no matter how bad. I have sent them rashed, bent, scraped, ripped, etc wheels and they always come back perfect and good as new. They can fix it I'm sure.

I fixed a buddies by using a Dremel tool and various bits until I got it smooth. Then I polished it back. It's not perfect, but it is 80% better. And it only cost a few bits....
