Help me crank my car without holding the gas....
How can I tune my car to help the car crank and stay idling without me having to hold the gas to crank it and for the first couple of seconds of idling? Thanks!

I have the misfire problem under control. THe only idle tuning I've done so far is idle speed. I'm getting lots of backfires at idle that I'm trying to figure out if they are A/F problems.

It's backfiring. I have 25% positive Ltrims on Bank2 and 0% on Bank 1. I think it's a header gasket problem. I always thought I had an exhaust leak, but could never pin it down. And with the cam and duals, I think it has finally gotten to where its very noticeable.

Do what Blackhawk said for 400-1200 rpms. You'll only be affecting the low rpm startup, until the pcm switches over and starts using the maf readings. Blackhawk said to lower them by 60%. I multiplied by 60%, which actually lowers them 40%

Okay, so doing this keeps the car from using the MAF reading to affect the idle? This will help it idle, but won't affect the MAF readings above 1200, right?

It doesn't stop the car from using the MAF. The car already doesn't use the MAF until a few seconds after start up, once flow is established. Until then, it uses the VE table. I used to have to feather the throttle right at start up. Once the car settled down it would idle fine, but sometimes starting it was a pain in the ***. Now with the VE table at 60%, I turn the key, vroooom, and the car finds idle and settles down without having to fight the accelerator pedal. Let us know what you find!
