Default oil pressure gauge

anyone had theirs go bad on them? the sending unit?? my car is an 01 and at idle now the oil pressure will stay steady at times at above 40 like normal. then other times idling it will be RIGHT on 40 and then a needle below and then at 40

then other times its spurratic randomly 40 then back to normal

no performance issues, no burning oil, no funny idling, no driving issues... just weird

My oil pressure drops a bit from making pulls from the snail's heat... Have to be careful as I have no oil cooler.

I have had issues with sending units on customer cars like you are describing. I have also seen sticky relief valves, and junk oil filters cause fluctuating guage readings. put a manual guage in temporarily to see what that reads.

hows urs running? once i get an IC i think im really going to love this thing as the turbo from all this heat spools up even quicker...problem is IATs right now; the highest i have seen after getting on it tho was 140 so far and that wasn't consecutive pulls just a 2-3gear run

yeah, put all four gears together and they will reach 190+ I bet...

My car runs great! The meth keeps my IATs at ambient or below at 16psi pulling through the gears. I do need an oil cooler and oil temp guage though...
