I signed a "life long" contract with Golds Gym when I was 18 (2000). It is a guarentee that my payment will always be $32.09 per month no matter what golds I go to or if the rates rise for any reason.
It is $200 to cancel it but I have no reason to at all.

Can't beat free! I don't pay a dime to use the gym on base, and they have alot of good equipment in there. Plus my wife runs the place, so I don't even need to use the locker room to change, just her office. ;)
The only thing I wish is that they had an indoor track, because I hate treadmills. But no big deal... I just run outside. :)

x2 I actually have two gyms that I pay nothing for b/c I worked at both.
To the orginal poster my G.F. just joined NYSC through her work and is paying 75. So 60 is reasonable. I forget the other gym she looked at but it was 100. Gyms in and around NYC are very expensive
