Default Head gasket 5.3L-question

I have a 2000 ls1 corvette. I purchased a set of 5.3L truck heads for a heads cam swap. I am concerned because I called a company that sells gasket sets and they told me that my intake off my ls1 wont bolt up to the heads and the head gaskets are different. The cast is a 706 on the 5.3L heads i planned to use. Will these heads bolt up to my ls1 and if so, What gaskets do I order? the 5.3L gaskets or the 5.7L head gasket set? This company has me worried that Nothing is going to bolt up. Please someone with knowledge set me strait. I was told this was a direct fit swap that bumped the compression and if they were ported and polished they would flow much better than my ls1 heads.

CONFUSED! please give me your .02

Jeff

Answered this in your other post about the same thing:

I'm using Patriot StageII 5.3 heads, GM MLS 5.7 gaskets, and LS6 intake - no problems at all with install and car is running strong 4 years later.

I'm not to familiar with different casting #'s of 5.3 heads so I can't be sure if that has anything to do with it - but find it highly doubtful...

Moved from advanced tech section.

No worries. Just use LS1 gaskets and torque those heads down and enjoy the new-found power.
