I'm wondering if anyone that has upgraded to another radiator (either SLP, Be cool, or other) have noticed a significant difference in cooling?

This is one of the next things I want to do but if it doesn't result in an improvement in cooling, why waste the cash.

I have a 2002 Z28 with the SLP High Capacity Radiator and 160 thermostat and SLP Fan Switch. I noticed a huge difference in cooling when going to this. Our temp gauges are dummy gauges but with this setup it actually moves to the right. I had my computer on a autotap and it read around 170 around the city here in Jacksonville, FL It is a excellent upgrade especially if you look to take it to the track. You can "HotLap" your car with less worry about the heat. I've never had drop in times with "HotLaping" my car.

Yea, tell me about the gauge inaccuracy thing. Mine reads just above the 160* line but on A-Tap is usually 183 - 187. Not to bad, but that is only on 60 - 70 degree days. I hate to see it on a 90+ humid day here.

I'm thinking about doing it for piece of mind. After all, this is a H&C motor running slightly higher than stock compression. I too have a 160 T-Stat and an SLP fan switch.

id do go with it for your motor for us mostly stock guys the t-stat and fan settings do the job (imo) but hell if your heavly modded it will help people ive talked to said it could result in as much as a 20 deg drop depending on where your at now and where your tring to get. if you need to run cooler id get that set your fans to turn on cooler and run redline with a 30\70 antifreeze\water mix after those three and your 160 thermostat you should have ice cubes comming out of your exaust :p
