Default New Camaro Owner was this car a steal or not ? I think so. What do you think

Hey guys im 20 and i just bout my first Camaro. It dose not have an ls1 motor but has an ls6 crate motor with a viperspec transmission, m6 12.boalt rear end steal, race suspension and a few other mods. The motor has 50 thousand miles and the trans has 20. There are other mods to the car but im not sure. The guy though game me his time slip and it ran high 11s in the quarter mile. I got the car for 13,000 my buddy hates me because i found it before him lol. Tell me what you guys think.

If you like it and it runs well, and you're happy with the price then you got a good deal.

You saved a lot of time and money already having the rear installed. Looks good from the super-small pics. What year and how many miles on the body?

Then, yeah, sounds like you got an alright deal then. Stock I wouldn't have paid more than KBB, which I think is probably about $9K without looking. So, then you're haggling over how much the mods were worth. The general guidline is half what they paid for them, so you certainly didn't get screwed by any means.

Again, if you're pleased with the price and pleased with the car, then you got a great deal!

Have fun with it! Might want to think about some N2O now that you're already good for the 11's! Drop into the 10's!

Still be careful with the 12bolt. Its stronger but not indestructable. Most m6 guys go 9 inch. Having the ls6 motor/rearend rebuilt m6 and some other mods are definatly worth the money if you like them and plan on keeping the car that way. Congrats on the car, have fun..

You sure it's a crate motor and not built, all signs lead to it. Rear end, built tranny, 11's, hmm., doesn't sound like a stocker. /\ I agree, you might want to look into swapping it for a 9" if you plan on draggin it.

yea its a crate motor all of the numbers match on the motor my dad wouldnt cosine for me unless it was the real motor plus i have reciets for alot of things including the motor. The one thing i do need is stronger motor mounts and subframe connectors. After that i want to put a cam in it but im not sure what kind of cam to use .

Well it's a little bit late to ask if it's a good deal isn't it?

But....yeah it sounds like a nice car and the price sounds good also.
