Default Past and Present Pontiac. Damn they look the same.

I bought a tripod about two weeks ago and was taking pictures of my GTO, as I haven't in a long time. Compared this to an old pic of the GTP.

It's like moving way forward in power, but looks wise, more like alot of lateral movement. Moving forward in that aspect is opinion. I miss the in your face aggression of the GTP, but love the grown up speaking softly while carrying a big stick of the GTO. I'm the kinda guy that would rather have the GTPs looks. Just can't afford to upgrade the goat yet.

GTP was maybe a 350hp car @ the crank at best? GTO is around 480. Can't beat the power, sound and fun of the GTO, but when it comes to the old GTP, every day I still miss the looks.

Meh, I don't think GTP's look very good -the GTO has a much more solid, polished design and look. With that said - your GTP and GTO, side by side, manage to look very similar.

In the end, you made the right choice going with the GTO.

I bet if the prix were packed with a 6.0, T56, RWD you'd feel different. This is purely a looks thing.

I have to admit that I think that GTP looks real nice. I like the GTO better (duh), but still a couple of fine rides.

If only the GTO had the fenders flared out like the GTP...then we could fit some big mamma jamma tires.

that gtp is nice, but if it was black it would look absolutely insane, especially with those rims.

Both cars look good. Back then that is the Grand Prix I wanted. They do look alike, the GTO sorta like an updated Grand Prix.

What is you smokin'

The GTP's are a fantastic looking car. The current gen leaves a lot to be desired but this body style (like my '99) were super sexy looking. Especially with different hoods, the roof rails, some nice exhaust tips, and the torque star wheels.

Quick Reply: Past and Present Pontiac. Damn they look the same.
