Default Oil Pump schim?

I was going to get a LS4 oil pump for my ls1 but after reading a few post, Not so sure. I wanted to cut a small schim for my stocker just to boost the oil pressure a tad. Does anyone know how the deminsions this schim has to be? I looked at SLP's version and it seems like it would be very easy. I plan to get an aluminum rod of that size and just cut a piece off the end. What are your thoughts?

This would cost under $5.00. Is it worth it?

Maximum thickness shouldn't exceed .120"
