Default cutting cats off.....

I was thinking of cutting my stock cats off and weld in pipeing inplace of the cats that way i dont mess up the cats by gutting them does anyone know what size pipeing it is i went to autoparts today and they sell 18" exhaust pipeing for 5bux ea. but didnt buy it because wasnt sure if it was 2.5" or 2.25" or 2" ?? how much louder would it be any power difference? for now all i have for exhaust is a borla cat-back.... Thanks

It's 2 1/4, aftermarket y's such as slp or borla are 2 1/2.

You will get a light because your rear O2 sensors will know that they cat's are not working correctly (because they are not there). You should buy 2 O2 sims for your rear sensors to fix that problem.
