factory rev limiter
factory m6 lt1's have a rev limiter right? so when you hit 5500-6000 rmp does it boggle down or something? my z use to be an a4 and is now a m6 with an a4 computer and i have taken it to 6000 rpm.. really dont want to be doin that

I think 5,850 is the stock limiter. My friends 94 Vette M6 seems to bounce off the limiter there as well, so I don't think A4 and M6 have a different limiter RPM.
Some people here I think go 6K on their stock motor and haven't had a problem.
My tach is right on up to 4K rpm. I haven't tested above that though. I don't feel like slowing bringing it up to 5500 so I can watch my scanner heh. And bringing it up fast means I have to drive fast, and I'd rather keep my eyes on where I'm going then.

oh ya i know what you mean now...i got 4.10s you know how easy it is to spin and tap that limiter in 1st.. even w/ mine set at 6500 (don't ask me why came that way when i bought it) it gets up there quick i try to watch it and keep it below 6k tho
