Default Fuddle...4000...60ft?

Anyone got a 4000 fuddle...

What kind of 60s are you cutting??

Im running MT drag radials..255 at 18psi...LCAs, SFCS, !sway, !bumper support on a good prepped track i can't get out of the mid 1.7s...

Seems like I didn't gain any MPH with this converter either...

I have all the bolt ons and 3.73s...suggestions?

have you logged any runs at the track?? a friend of mine had a crazy dip in timing out of the hole causing him to bog to a 1.69 with similar mods except 26x11.5 e/t's

do that... it will tell if that was your problem for sure... are you spinning those 255's??? you may not be spinning them hard enough to tell, but if you turn them over or "slip" the tires, you'll lose 60' too... is your converter working correctly? all things to consider...

-what are more details about your setup? tuned? cam? exhaust setup? whats the rest of the timeslip look like?? all these things will play into your 60 and may give some clues where you may be lacking.

60 1.774
330 5.236
1/8 8.083
MPH 86.70
1000 10.524
1/4 12.582
MPH 109.59

3inch dual exhaust into 4x9 magnaflows, pulley, tb, headers, lid...car is 3100lbs give or take...!ac !sway !bumper support !air !egr !soundeadening

I ran 12.6 @ 110 before the converter in very similar weather with a 1.83 60` im trying to dig up the slip.

I have no issue with switching to a full slick...just seems like a lot of people have been able to hook with these tires..

I figured I would at least see some change at the track with the converter.

I'm willing to bet with those traps, your turning those tires over pretty hard... or like I said, something in the tune, especially with that weight, you should be easily in the 1.6's... especially with some suspension and tires like you have.

Its a stock tune...last time it was on the dyno like a year ago or so it made 343rwhp and the AF was decent so we didn't touch it.

I will data log a run when I get a chance

Spinning or not spinning is the question. If you are spinning then
more converter helps none. What STR did you pick? STR is what
(if you can hook) increases torque out the back.

If going to a 4000RPM converter didn't cost you any MPH then
it's a better than average 4000RPM converter for efficiency.
"Big" converters tend to lower ET but eat MPH.

Well I have it down to 1.69-1.71ish right now...

Just weird I have a friend with the same suspension mods/tires cutting low 1.6s

Oh well I will throw some suspension mods a this and see what happens...

Maybe I will try another convertor.

Hey, are you running at NYIRP? I see your close, and thats the only 1/4 mile around. I was there last week, love it there but prep wasnt all that, its hit and miss.....you probably not hooking good enough, I was having lots of trouble when sun went down.

Yes I ran at NYI tonight

went 12.2 with a 1.71

First pass I got a 1.69...

I didn't mess with tire psi or anything drove to the track and ran...kinda wanted to see what it would do coming off the street...

Im going to change out the shocks and do some other stuff shortly..

my buddys car has 3.23 and a 4000 stall and the torquer 2...LCAs, SFCs and same tires as me was cutting 1.62s when he hooked...a lot of imports were draggin water on to the track each run was hit or miss with traction.

Thats from lancaster speedway last night.

Ya, my 60ft didnt change much, going to 3.73's from 23's. I think though I could do better with a little more grip. I always watch the guy or two in front of me staging, big chance they dont run dr's and drag the water up, yes in the domestic lane, and they do, that is how I went out last week, spinning....in the first round..
