If that SBC fits, an LSx will fit better. Nothing groundbreaking our earth shattering here, go for it!

If Poncho fits (not an SBC, if the color doesn't tip you off, look at the exhaust casting on the ehads), an LS1 should be NOOOOO problem. Tons of room in there.

Should not be a problem. would have to either make some frame mounts or use some SBC mounts off of some F-Body or A-Body and then remount them where needed on the X-Member. But from the picture, (what car is it ?, can't see enough of the grill to make it out. early A-body ?) you have more than enough room.

Looks like a second gen Firebird. Should be able to use all the same stuff the Camaro guys are using. Will lighten it up considerably compared to that big Poncho.

The only problem I could foresee you having is possibly needing to clearance the trans tunnel, depending on your choice in transmission.

I've continued to look at 63's and 64's, and I'm liking this '63 right now.

Wait till you see it sitting beside a BBC. suddenly, their tiny. haha.

I have a picture somewhere of my moms 455t/a sitting beside my buddies 396 Camaro. 455 looks like an Small block in comparison.

Their really wide because of the way the heads lean far over for the exhaust.
