I could of swore I read somewhere that for every 50hp you add to the motor, you gap it differently. Im not sure if its more or less. Is this true? If so, whats the rule? I believe the stock gap is .055., so what would it be if I added 150hp to the motor? Thanks

That link kinda answers my question, but then it doesnt. According to NGK, it seems to me for every 50hp you add, you reduce the gap .004", but only if you added with forced induction or nitrous. Why wouldnt it be the same if you just added with bolt-ons and internal mods? Youre still adding hp whether its with nitrous/forced induction or not. I have neither one of them, but I have added over 150hp to the motor. Do I still need to change the gap any? Thanks

no but i wouldn't stay with stock plugs though if you still have them get tr55's. when i took the OE plugs out of mine they were all messed up.

When you go FI or Nitrous the extra pressure inside the chamber is too much for a far gap, thus narrow the gap and get greater flame propagation. This is my insight on it as given to me long ago. You will want to change as mentioed to a good quality plug. After seeing my friend sparking am Iridium plug after being dropped in a bucket of grease and oil mix and it sparked like a champ, I think I will be switchig to them.

Im currently running the NGK TR-55s, do you think those are good enough plugs for my application? Do you think the gap needs to be changed at all? How often should I replace them? Whats with these Iridium plugs...are they better than the regular TR-55s? Whats special about them and what distinct them from others? Do those plugs have to be change often? How much do they run a piece? Thanks
