The true way to tell if it is an ls6 is by comparing the bottom of the intakes.

On the left is an ls1 and on the right is an ls6

the pictures in the auction should sufficiently show that this is an LS6 intake. the after market intakes, such as this one, commonly have an egr port that can be used or blocked off.

I would beware all.... I emailed him to ask to take a picture of the model #' on the intake... and this is what he wrote back ....

Get the casting number off it, thats tells the truth and nothing less. If its an LS6 from SLP, it will have an EGR port. But that pic shows an LS6 from the bottom side.

Well apparently he's being a dick about it, but if youre unaware of the visual differences, just compare with the pics in post #2, and theres ya go, answers that question.

Of course if you have no intention of buying it, you shouldnt even be asking him for the numbers and pics.

That picture of the bottom is a LS6. You can tell the difference because it is flat, where a LT1 has a hump in the center going from front to back.

let me say this.

If you arent 100% positive that it is in fact a true LS6 intake pass the offer up. There are tens of thousands and go for 300 shipped all day, there will be another.

where have you all been the last few years yes the bottom of ls1 is not flat and the ls6 is (better flow capabilities) this is what makes it a better manifold up top screw that ebay guy but he is selling an aftermarket ls6 manifold for your info the castings around the holes on the bottom are just castings, but its flat. and aftermarket manifolds were made for aftermarket use including EGR provisions.
