You can keep trying the forums as that's where the best deals are, or piece one together and build it yourself. Get some good forged pistons and either aftermarket or stock rods with ARP bolts if you can. The stock rods and crank are pretty good pieces. I'm guessing you're looking for a FI setup?

Victory Racing Engines usually has great deals on shortblocks and can build pretty much whatever you want if you don't want to do it yourself. It's going to cost you, though.

You buy a $1900 "rebuilt" shortblock and you are going to get a cheap motor in every sense of the word. I would sooner run a junkyard shortblock.

He wants to run boost. He's already getting like 8psi on the stock motor and 420~HP. And by stock, I mean in every sense of the term (sans tune). Down to the poor 24lb injectors.

He WANTS to run 13psi with methanol. His original idea was 10psi with meth on his stock motor. I told him he'll just grenade the lower half.

It seems he pretty much blew the rings since he has quite a bit of blowby right now.

I told him to make a thread about it all, but this is no where near what I meant. You're way too vague Razor. People need info.

Massive blowby on a stock shortblock with boost could be pistons.

My understanding is the ring gap can close bind the ring in the bore and damage the pistons. Blower needs a wider gap because of the heat involved.

Keep the rpms reasonable and the stock rods and crank can take a hell of a lot.

You might consider reusing them with forged pistons and appropriate rings/gap.
