Default Forgive my Ignorance

I just order my MTI intake lid and the sensor hole wasnt drilled. i left it off and it through an SES light im kinda pissed about it. so what do you think send it back. drill the hole. can i just leave it off and turn the code off whats up? here are pics of what im talking about





sorry this pic was takin with my cell phone. but you can see the blue end plug in that doesn have a home anymore

are they not supposed to come pre-drilled. and what size drill bit do i use?

take the sensor out of the stock lid and find a dill bit the same size as the stock one

/\ cheaper than sending it back. It's no big deal, just drill it out.

You can leave it out and clear the code but it's going to keep tripping it as long as that remains unhooked plus your car might not run right. Just drill your hole and put it back in there.

Mine didnt have it either but just drilled the hole and install the sensor I have had 4 different lids and none of them came drilled maybe some do.

You do need the sensor. Its how the PCM knows the temperature of air coming into the intake.

My SLP lid came with the proper holes, never would have thought any of them wouldn't.

The stock lid should have a little rubber gromet you will want to drill your whole big enough to ue that again.
