Default Finish my car guys

My goal is to go a 7.0 at 100mph in the 1/8. Car is a 98 Z28. It has a Fast 90/90, TSP True Duals, Pacesetters, and a Performabuilt Level II tranny and their 3500 stall. I know I will need a rear-end at some point but I'm gonna run the 10 bolt until it breaks. Its an A4 car so it has a 3.23 gear. The car is not a daily driver but I usually drive it all weekend. I plan on keeping the AC and not cutting the car up. I just want a fast street car. What would you guys build to achieve this goal? I'm open to all suggestions but I don't want to use N2O. I've read, and read, and read. I want to know if the car was yours how would you finish it up. Thanks.

Using one of those nifty race calculators(which I don't trust, but used to get an idea) 7.0 1/8 mile = 10.9x 1/4 mile. Your gonna need a whole lotta mods to get there without weight reduction. All the bolt-ons, a good heads & cam package, suspension upgrades, and a 12-bolt. Some lucky folks may have gone 10's on a stock rear, but mine broke 3 times running low 12's.

Yeh I hear ya on the rear-end and suspension. Those pretty much go without saying. I'm just trying to get some ideas on the motor. Theres just a billion different ways to go. Hard to decide on what to do. I'd rather have more low-end power than top-end. Its a street car 90% and probably 10% track time. Might just do a 408. Can't decide though.
