Which Cam makes the most power from around 2k-6k?

Default Which Cam makes the most power from around 2k-6k?

Not trying to spin the motor super high, so what cam(dont say hotcam) is the best if i dont really want to spin pst 6k 6200 at the most? Im think cc305 or cc503?

this cam is supposed to pull and make peak power at 1500-5800, so 6k would be a good shift point?

id say so. some will rev that cam higher to get the most out of it, but i dont think its necessary per se.

look into the crane227, it makes a ton of power under the curve and should keep you a little over the stock shift points. might be a better all around cam since it doesnt need lots of RPM's to make power, and you can keep your stock tuning.

i dont need to keep stock tuning, but where do i find this cam and how much is it?

This cam makes a lot of tq under the curve, and most will say it works really well on stock heads. I was going to buy it but I decided to go custom instead, if it would have been in stock when i had the $$$ I would have bought it. here's a link....

I'd go with the biggest of the mid size guys. GM846. 222/230

No I mean GM846 222/230. Its what I would run in this case. The GM847 234/242 is way to big to be under-rev'ed to 6200rpm.

Where in Mass you from? Go to NED often?

oh when i installed my hotcam way back it had 846 on the cam and on the cam sheet... weird
