im trying to do a C5 corvette brake upgrade on my SS and I am finding alot of rotors on ebay and you can get all 4 for a vette for the same price as 2 so I figured if they will fit ill pick them up.

I think that's going to be a backing plate issue. You can get LS1 backing plates, but if they bolt up to C5 calipers is another question.

Pretty sure the C5 rotors are significantly bigger than the LT1 rotors (front or rear). You cant just slap on a rear C5 rotor because your caliper is in a fixed position. The caliper needs to move out radially with the rotor. This jmeans changing the backing plates (which requires you to pull out your axles, which requires you to pull the rear end cover and C clips). Alot more into it then just slapping the rotor on.

LT1 rotors are 11" and c5 rotors are 12" so its not going to work, you need an entire setup.

C5 and LS1 rear brakes are almost EXACTLY the same. The rotor and caliper piston size are very close (if not the exact same). If for some reason you think LT1 rears aren't enough, LS1 rears should do the trick.

The stock rear brakes on all 4th gens are pretty good, and I doubt you are exceeding their limits, especially with stock front brakes with non-race pads.

Ok, I wasnt sure or not. It seems like it might be more hassle than what I want to get into for just the back brakes. Thanks Guys!
