Default tranny temp gauge prob

i have my tranny temp guage sending unit in the service port. my gauge is unresponcive, stays at 100. let the car warm up to operating temp and still nothing. all the wireing from the back of the gauge to the unit i got from a hardware store because the ones in the kit got lost. does anyone have a link to the where i can get replacements?

Just because the coolant is up to temp, does not mean that the tranny is. The tranny will only come up to temp by driving. Drive it around and see if it comes up. By the way, the best place for a tranny temp gauge is in the pan.
