Introductions & Greetings - Noob from NM w/ a few questions

Hey guys, I just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. My name is Ans Molai and I just picked up a 93 Trans am, its a 6-spd w/ ram air and this is my first car with a 8 cylinder. I've owned two WRX's and a v-6 mustang but nothing that compares to this.
Here is the mods:
Ram air, 6-spd w/ short shifter and 3.73 gears, converted optisparks, SLP headers, 1.6rr, air foil, engine work done by Mike Keenan, 12" Moser rear-end w/ welded subframe bars, 42.5lb ford racing injectors, cc305 cam, lift duration is 544/544 w/ a lobe of 144, intake/exhaust is 220/230, basically this is a comp camp.
Also I have NO idea what any of the following means, any help would be appreciated!
-lift duration is 544/544 with a lobe of 144
-intake/exhaust is 220/230, basically this is a comp camp
Thanks in advance for your help!

*sigh* what a warm welcome...

hey, welcome to the forum.
and congrats on the nice ride.
i used to own a 93 Z28.
the lift is how much the valves open.
the duration is the amount in degrees for the intake/exhaust
the lobe separation, i think, the degrees separation between int./exh.
but, i think it is more like 114.
1.6 rr- 1.6 ratio roller rockers. they are the "rockers" that open the valves when the pushrods push on them. sounds silly, but i am probably telling you something you already know. just wanting to help and welcome you at the same time.

Awesome! Thanks a bunch, I live just north of Wyoming and Paseo Del Norte. I had another question for you guys, I'm not too sure if you could answer this over the internet but when I'm in 6th gear above 75mph i feel and hear a vibration coming from the rear end, not sure if anyone knows what that could be. Also do these things usually run rich or do I need a tune? I don't think my friend got it tuned after all the mods.

the 5000 foot of altitude here is hard for the computers to understand. A tune up is in order. The chassis dyno shop on Juan Tabo just south of I40 is the place to go. Yes I'm in Albuquerque, North Mexico also..............

Clovis guy here too! If your getting vibrations above 70mph you may want to check and make sure your driveshaft is in balance. The LT1 steel driveshaft has a tendency to vibrate pretty good.

I'm stuck in Clovis too, Welcome!

RSW ahh, what a fun "place"....................

I'm in Clovis also. Congrats on the new ride. You'll def be happy with the TA over a WRX or a 6 cyl mustang.
Like stated above your cam is a 220/230 .544/.544 on a 114 LSA. Those are just the spect on the duration and lift of your cam. The 1.6 RR are aftermarket roller rockers with a 1.6 lift. An Air foil is a little peice of metal that sits in your throttle body that helps smooth out the air that is going into the TB. Again, congrats on the new ride. You definately did good, especially seeing how it has the 12 bolt w/ 373's. Bet she moves out nicely!!
