Default 2 different problems, sound and stalling at a light... new T56 install

I just did a 6 speed swap with another forum member, no ses lights and everything seems to be running fine. Except

1. When im at a light, their is a sound coming from the tranny - but when I push the clutch in the sound goes away. Someone said this is a common problem w/ t56 throwout bearing and to ignore it - that sux, no fixes for this?

2. When at a light and it turns green, It's very hard to not stall the car, I slowly let go of the pedal to try and let it go by itself but it wants gas, my other stick cars would move by themselves then I would add a little gas and it would go, is it normal for it to require more gas just to go? Feel like im riding the clutch.

Thanks all !

Not too sure about your first question, I don't think I've ever heard anything like that from my trans, but I haven't been listening for one either so it might be there. As for the second question, you have to give the car gas and then let the clutch out slowly. Rev it up 300 rpm's from idle and then let it out. Hope that helps.

seriously I need to rev it like 1000 rpm above idle it seems... what I did for the other problem is I insulated the whole transmission tunnel w/ Frost King and Carpet deadening from home depot, car is as quiet as a beamer on the inside ! I wish i had done this earlier

are you still running crappy rear gears from the auto? What kind of fluid are you running in the tranny and is it full?

Yep, 2.73s are your problem for sure. There's a reason that M6s came with 3.42s.
