Default does not idle up when brake booster hose is disconnected

OK so I am seafoaming my motor today. I start the car and let it warm up. When warm i pulled off the brake booster line, BUT instead of idling up it about died. It idled up when the seafaom was added but when I would stop it would drop again. I got the seafaom in and reinstalled the hose and it went back to normal idle.

Why does mine not idle up like its suppose to?? I have a cam if that makes any diff.

picture a huge vacuum leak... when you have a large vacuum leak, its not metered air, therefore no more fuel is being added to compensate. thats why your car doesnt idle up. the iac can compensate for a smaller vacuum leak, but your brake booster is the largest vacuum line on the car.
