Default ls2 intake on an ls1?

i have a 2000 trans am can i stick an ls2 intake manifold on it?

Yes you can.......try a search though, generally agreed this is not a good mod

Don't waste your time or money, the LS2 intake isn't worth much if anything in terms of HP. LS6 is the way to go.

ive seen dyno sheets that say the ls2 manifold is better than the ls6, and it accepts a 90mm throttle body. am i wrong?

I've always read that the LS6 out performs the LS2 manifold even though the LS2 has a 90mm TB.

awesome guys thanks for the help. other question though im caming my car and raising the compression a bit would the ls2 be better cause i can put a 90 mm tb on it? whats the biggest tb i can put on the ls6

Depends on what kind of setup you are using. LT's, heads, cam, nitrous, they all will produce different results. I'd stick with the ls6 intake manifold, and just port your TB to 85mm if you want the biggest TB.

you can have an LS6 ported to fit a 90MM also.

LS2 manifold also requires extra hardware to make the stock ls1 fuel rail fit on it, without it the rail will not go on the LS2 manifold. I dont rememebr who sells the extra hardware though, its one of the site sponsors though.

who ports the ls6 to 90mm? i saw that liggenfelter sold them but the cut the snouts off and put a new one on it

FYI the 90mm TB opening in the intake is not the key to a ported intake. The key is in the porting of the runners. If you want a 90mm setup buy something like a FAST.
