Default CAM? for 2004 ls1 gto

i have a stock gto ls1 and i want to buy a cam, but dont want to buy anything else . in the future i want to get a converter . i was wondering what cam to go with without replacing springs and etc.?

I was goin to say an LS1 Hot Cam from GM, but even on that one the springs still need to be changed, plus being an automatic car, you're gonna have the spend the money to get it tuned so possibly look at about 200 bucks for a basic cam tune. Just save the money and do it right.

your gonna need a stall if you go with a bigger cam.

if i got the (hot cam) with a auto and no converter will it still run good?

Anytime you swap out the cam you will need at a minimum valve springs and hardened pushrods. Don't cheap out.
