Question Installing HIDs on my 99 Firebird..

So Ive got the bulb in the case and ive got the case mounted in the hole Ive got the wires semi ran and a spot picked out for the ballast.

but I gotta strip some of the factory wires from the stock headlight correct? the green wire is the + (positive) and the black would be the - (negative/ground) correct?

if so I think ive done almost got them in.

PS and these were ordered from LEDguages and im taking the time to angle them so that they dont kill on-comming drivers on the road. Ill have pics when im done if everything goes ok.

OK scratch that last post, got them in.. wired up and they work.

but there are two problems.

1) The manual operation thing you use to raise the headlights is making all kinds of noise and wont tighten up good it keeps turning and spinning. my motors are still good but this thing seems stripped out and spins and spins then stops. it dosent tighten down like the other side.

and when I have my lights up/on now and turn them off. if I hit the unlock button while they are going down or just shortly after the lights wanna raise back up? but the lights dont come on?

It will not make that grinding sound when going up, only when going down/closing, it does it for a few seconds and then shuts! I bet you can't drive with just your foglights on! You twist headlight switch to ON for parking lights and foglights and the headlights pop up right away! Am I right????

no, not really, they open only when I turn them on. and they close as soon as I turn them off but when they go down and get down fully they start making the grinding and thats when you can see the top of the manual opperation thing going nuts and spining around.

Dunno but its kinda annoying. Im thinking about glueing the manual thing shut so it dosent spin and it wont make no noise.
