Default Please Help, Can't Figure This One Out

New Motor Just Put In My 96 T/a

Will Not Idle And Loads Up, I Have Checked All Vac Lines ,they Look Good, Have To Pump The Gas To Get It To Start, Dies As Soon As You Let Off The Gas

This Car Does Not Have Cats Or Air Pump On It,has Headers.... Not Turning Up Any Lights On The Dash

Any Ideas

the only real way i know best is to use a scan tool. what you can do, is push the motor all the way out, so its blocking off the passage. now when u hook it up and try to start it up, it should move itself out so it will let air pass

i pulled it and it was nasty and gummed up, i cleaned it up and reinstalled it along with the bottom of the tb, we will see what happens

When you give it gas does it rev freely or hesitate? Sounds dumb but check the plugs and wires. Eliminate the basics before checking the opti. Might save you a few dollars.
