ok i got a bolt through the hole but there is not enough clearance to get the washer / nut on the back of the bolt. It hits the bacjk edge of the converter. Any more ideas ?

Some of our very early models of the HP/Street were not threaded and occasionally, someone will ask for it not threaded, so they can move to a nut and bolt style mounting. It sounds like this converter is one of those 2 possibilities. While it was purchased used, we stand behind the converter and will thread it if you would like. Short of grinding the bolt head to fit, or finding a short headed bolt (which we do not have a supply of anymore), that may be your best option. We will also refresh it while it's here and restall if you like, even thought it is likely not covered under warranty anymore. We will do it for free for you, if you would like.
