Default Tried for the tens again but still fell short.

I ran a 11.002 at 112 the last time with the car getting loose on the big end. Which caused me to get out of the gas. Then the rearend came apart on the next launch.

So Friday I thought I would try my luck again. But the stock tranny with 103,000 miles coundn't handle the 500rwhp. It was slipping so bad that I was on the rev limiter at every shift. I was running 11.20's at 119.

Then I put the street tires on to run a dot class and sprayed a 225 shot killing the tires off the line(2. something 60'). Running 11.8's at 121mph. I even adjusted the window switch to turn off the first stage at 5800 but the tranny still coundn't handle it.

When i get another tranny I will be in the 10's

The good news is I sprayed a 200shot out of the hole with the car hooking and the 9" didn't miss a beat.

Yeah, it sucks were your that close to a goal....You'll be there and then some. One question though, are your sure your not blowing thru that converter? Just wondering as the 3600 Vig has pretty good extension NA. And running another 75 or so more than last time. It might have put it over the edge... Then again it could be the tranny

He could've sat and spun for awhile, but finally got up to speed. MPH isn't always a good estimate of 1/4 time. I'm sure you get what I mean.

yea i know what you mean, it just seemed kinda unlikley that he ran an 11.2 at 119 and an 11.8 at 121. im sure its possible

Nice try's! You will make it no problems. Hitting it with a 200 shoy out of the hole is a rush. I would look into a tighter Converter as Jimmy Pointed out. Mine goes from a 3,800 N/A to a 5,800 on the juice

Mine flashes to about 4200 on a 150 shot I can't really say where it is at on the 200 shot but it was pulling the front end about 12 inches.

The 11.8 was 121mph on a 225 instead of a 200 shot with drag radials.

My 60' with slicks is 1.5's and on the DR's 2.0's

The conv. was built for a boosted motor so it should be a little tighter with the 3 disk lock up and I'm locking it in drive. I could be blowing thru it. But I was having problems with the tranny before I went I have the shift mph points low so that I'm commanding the shift by the rpm threshold. And that is set at 5000rpm. I beleave the second and third cluches are burnt. I was hitting the 6800 rpm limiter at each shift. I even tried turning off the first stage at 5800rpms (150 shot) so I was only spraying 75 during the shift.

I want to get this in the tens next time out and I plan on a big roller cam next year. So I'm undecided on the turbo 350 or a 4l60E. I would like to run a transbrake and a 350 is cheper to build then the 4l60e.

Sorry didn't mean to sound defensive. I am open for input.
