need help with rocker armss 1.7 or 1.8

Default need help with rocker armss 1.7 or 1.8

I just got a 02-04 z06 cam and heads brand new with the yellow valve springs. im wondering if i intall 1.8s will it make my cam run like its alot bigger then it is . or should i just get the stock 1.7s

It will make it feel a little bigger but not huge or anything.

that is what i want is just a little more cam then what i got i just screwed up and got a cam to soon y dont everyone run 1.8 how come ppl are stickingwith 1.7s

because of the cost. You dont gain much. You can buy a cam that is larger from the get go and save money.

changing rocker ratio puts more strain on the rockers and the valvetrain in general. You are giving the cam more duration and more lift, something you should have done when you swapped out the cam in the first place.

Stick with 1.7s. In fact, stick with stock rockers unless your heads require you to change them. Some aftermarket heads have a change in valve angle, which requires a roller rocker.

You have to watch out for PVC when going to a 1.8 ratio as well. A small cam shouldnt matter but its always best to check and be safe than sorry.
