Default Stock cam numbers and other questions

Hey guys, I drive a 98 and I was wondering how much bigger my stock cam is over a 02-03 or so?

The reason I ask is because I'm thinking of buying the 02 ls6 cam as it has a decent split for nitrous (which I plan on running pretty soon)and makes for a GREAT sleeper when coupled with my electric cutout and the juice. The price is also great! It looks like a lot of people are gaining 30 and sometimes upwards of 40 ponies at the rear wheels, but I'm wondering if the change will be as dramatic on my car since the stock cam is larger to begin with. How much more money would it cost to run something else that will sound and idle relatively stock in an m6 and give decent n/a and n02 performance?

you'd be benefitting mostly from the added lift IMO.

'02 LS6 CAM
204/218 .551/.547 117.5 LSA

But I would go with a TR220 or TR224 if I were you . . . You wouldn't be paying that much more money right now if you got in on the Group Purchase that Thunder is doing.
