Default Fuel pump change Q

For those of you that have changed fuel pumps, which method did you use and why? I have heard about equal opininos from the LS1 guys, but none from our side of the camp.

What are the 'methods'?

I assume your talking about dropping the tank or cutting the access panel.

Ive done both, it works either way.

The panel is much easier and you can just use something like dynamat or sheetmetal to cover the hole up and reduce interior road noise.

Dropping the tank is much more time consuming obviously.

I dropped the tank on mine. Next time I'll cut the panel. It was a pita.
